Broadway Ballet
This masterclass mixes the technical foundation of classical ballet with the power and expression of Broadway dance.
Students will work on body alignment, strength, flexibility, and anatomical awareness of the dancer’s body to enhance understanding of movement, while exploring the structure of stage choreography, showmanship and performance. Students learn to dance with energy, focus and clarity through ballet barre exercises, center work and Broadway choreography.
This masterclass is also available in an actor's workshop format, in which classical ballet exercises and dance phrases of the course are designed to increase knowledge of ballet, jazz dance and movement for actors.
